Homeopathic practice
Homeopathic practice is not regulated and according to the Slovak Constitution it can be practised by anybody. On the other hand, harming individuals can be punished according to the Penal Code - Act No. 300/2005 Coll., § 162 Damage to health.
There is no statutory regulation of homeopathy in place.
Homeopathic medicines
Directive 2001/83/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Community code relating to medicinal products for human use, which includes homeopathic medicinal products, has been implemented in Zákon 25. mája 2006, ktorym sa mení a doplna zákon c. 140/1998 Z. z. o liekoch a zdravotníckych pomôckach - Law of 25 May 2006 amending and supplementing Act No. 140/1998 Z. z. on drugs and medical devices.
