The regulatory status of homeopathy in Cyprus

Homeopathic practice

Only medical doctors can provide medical treatment, including homeopathy. Also non-medically qualified practitioners practise homeopathy, although it is a criminal offence for others than medical doctors to practise medicine or give medications. There is no official recognition of homeopathy or or any other CAM therapy other than chiropractic.

Homeopathic medicines

Directive 2001/83/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Community code relating to medicinal products for human use, which includes homeopathic medicinal products, has been implemented in Law 70(Ι) of 2001 on Medicinal Products for Human Use (Control of Quality, Supply and Prices).
