Regulatory status of homeopathy in Bulgaria
Homeopathic practice
The new Health Law, which came into force on 1 January 2005, has a chapter on regulation of Complementary and Alternative Medicine including homeopathy (Chapter six, articles 166-173). The practice of homeopathy is only allowed to medical doctors and dentists.
Homeopathic medicines
Directive 2001/83/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Community code relating to medicinal products for human use, which includes homeopathic medicinal products, has been implemented in the Law on Medicinal Products in Human Medicine of 13 April 2007.
